An experimental investigation on the fluid flow mixing process in agitated vessel

چکیده
The fluid mixing process is a common supportive phenomenon that often occurs in large number of industrial systems. This the subject many numerical and experimental analysis. effectiveness depends on: tank construction, phases viscosity, temperature, density liquids and, what crucial, impeller shape. optimal design geometry still an open issue. In this research work, main objective investigations influence newly constructed type on flow motion phenomena energy consumption. Flow field values were evaluated using PIV measurement power consumption precise torquemeter. comparison between Rushton turbine novel presented discussed. basis for assessment intensity degree efficiency was analysis velocity vectors distribution number. Results show both impellers are similar but quite different. pumping capacity Q z reference to cases at least one order magnitude higher. shows proposed can be very promising alternative classic blades non-blades based types.
